Our Story
Founded in 2014, Octave Music Centre focuses on children’s jazz drumming while incorporating advanced European percussion methodologies. We not only create a rich learning environment but also develop exclusive textbooks and multimedia resources, as well as sell various music instruments and equipment.
Supporting over 300 schools in China, our Octave Drum Series equips 20,000 students with the skills they need. We offer personalized sessions and small group lessons, alongside workshops and engaging social media initiatives aimed at enriching the community.

Welcome to our drum classes, where we cater to students of all ages and skill levels. Our personalized approach ensures that each class is designed to meet your unique needs and goals. We use GIOCO acoustic drums because we believe that learning to play on acoustic drums helps you develop a more natural sense of dynamics, touch, and control. Every stroke directly affects volume and tone. Acoustic kits also strengthen timing and consistency, since they respond more honestly to subtle mistakes that electronic kits may mask. In addition, practicing on acoustic drums better prepares you for live performances and jam sessions, where acoustic kits are more common.
We use the Trinity College London Drumming Grading Coursebooks. Trinity College London Examinations is an international music (including classical, jazz, rock, and pop) and drama grading system organized by Trinity College London in the UK. It offers examinations from beginner to level 8, as well as diploma exams such as ATCL (Junior Diploma), LTCL (Professional Diploma), and FTCL (Fellowship Diploma) to assess and certify an individual’s abilities in performance, music theory, and other areas. Its certificates are internationally recognized and provide UCAS points for applying to British universities. It can serve as proof of global music study and academic progression.
Grading system:
Grades 1-8 (Level Exams)
Diploma Exams: ATCL, LTCL, FTCL
International recognition: Recognized by the British government and international institutions, it serves as a basis for further education (grades 6-8 qualify for UCAS scores).
